
Brian Shrager, M.D.

Dr. Shrager is a general surgeon with extensive experience in the treatment of pilonidal disease. His undergraduate degree was earned at the University of Michigan, and his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Board-certified in general surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Shrager is widely published in the peer-reviewed literature. He has been recognized for three consecutive years as a top surgeon in New Jersey Monthly magazine. Dr. Shrager is currently an esteemed Faculty Member of the International Pilonidal Society, presenting research with the Society throughout Europe and the Middle East. Because pilonidal disease presentation widely varies, he believes that success hinges on the nuanced crafting of a tailored treatment plan for each and every patient.


Benjamin Miller, D.O.,M.P.H.
Pilonidal Surgeon
Dr. Miller is a general surgeon specializing in pilonidal disease. His initial postgraduate training was in pediatrics, and he practiced inpatient and emergency pediatrics for 5 years. Drawn to the field of surgery, he subsequently entered and completed a residency training program in general surgery. Prior to joining PTCNJ, his surgical practice focused on the minimally invasive treatment of abdominal wall hernia, pilonidal, and colorectal diseases. He has a wealth of experience in robotic colorectal surgery. Specifically for pilonidal disease, he has a voluminous experience in both the Bascom cleft-lift and the Gips procedures. As a Gips specialist, he is proud to spearhead the new minimally invasive surgery service line at PTCNJ. He prides himself in delivering patient-centered care and treating all patients with compassion, dignity and respect.
Dr. Miller earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Maryland at College Park his and medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is doubly certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Pediatrics. Additionally, he holds a Masters of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins University. He is a proud Faculty Member of the International Pilonidal Society.
